Artex, a leader in large-scale textile projects for public spaces, public transportation, and the automotive industry, is enhancing its offerings in the transportation sector with the acquisition of the Danish company JP Train, formerly part of JP Group. JP Train specializes in the disassembly, renovation, and assembly of train interiors, and their logistical expertise will now be integrated into the entire Artex group.
In the transportation sector, Artex has successfully provided services such as the refurbishment of train seats, involving the reuse of load-bearing structures in steel, aluminum, or plastic, resulting in significant energy savings compared to replacing with new seats.
The acquisition of JP Train aims to broaden Artex's expertise and strengthen its market presence in Denmark. JP Train is well-known for its expertise in disassembly and assembly of interiors in public transportation. This competence will now be an integral part of the Artex group, providing a more comprehensive customer offering.
Thomas Mortensen, CEO of Artex Denmark, looks forward to being part of a larger business in public transportation, emphasizing Artex's engineering expertise and strength in having control over the entire value chain "in-house".
Björn Samenius, CEO of Artex group, comments on the acquisition: "Our Danish colleagues' knowledge in local logistics will add significant value to Artex."
About Artex: Artex designs, redesigns, refurbishes, and upgrades seats and other interior components for trains, airplanes, trucks, and public spaces. With a presence in Sweden, Latvia, Finland, and now also in Denmark, Artex employs approximately 500 people.
